Decorating Gingerbread Cookies

This Christmas Eve, after we got home from church, we all helped decorate and/or eat gingerbread cookies. We also left out gingerbread cookies that we had decorated for Santa to eat on his long journey. (You know he gets very hungry delivering gifts to everyone).

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We started to decorate the christmas tree today. We didn't get a chance to go out and cut down our own this year. The weather on the weekends has been bad, so we just went to a nursery, close to Toddy's daycare and bought one. Toddy' loves the Christmas tree. He plays with the decorations and puts them back on. He has a spot in the front of the tree where all of his favorite ornaments are clumped together.

Happy Halloween from Buzz Lightyear!

We have been celebrating Halloween for three days now.
  • Monday, Toddy had a party at his daycare.
  • Tuesday was Trick or Treat night at the local mall.
  • Tonight was a parade and Trick or treating at Hughesville and Muncy.

We had a great time! Toddy loves his Buzz Lightyear costume and does not want to take it off. I am one of those mothers who have to take it off of him at night and wash it so that it is ready for the next day.

Maze - but not of corn.

Sunday, October 28, we went to Montoursville for Brennden's birthday party. (Toddy's cousin on Todd's side) It was held in a maze. Usually they are corn mazes but this one was sorgum. The kids had a blast running through the mazes. We went through two mazes, took a hay wagon ride, and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over an open camp fire. Toddy had to cook his own hot dog which was burnt black and even he would not eat it.

Heidi's Graduation

Heidi turned 18 and graduated from hight school all on the same day. We started out at Red Lobster for her birthday/graduation dinner.
Heidi's graduation ceremony was very nice. We were lucky that the rain held off as long as it did so that the ceremony could be held outside. Heidi sang the National Anthem and the Alma Matar with others that were graduating in her class.

Mommy Look at my Paw Prints

Toddy and I were walking out into the snow to clean off the car to go to daycare and work. This day we had gotten several inches of fluffy snow. He started out through the fresh snow and stopped. He turned and looked at the impressions he had made with his feet. He then looked at me and said:"Look at my Paw Prints Momma!"

To really appreciate this comment you must know that my son's last name is ModisPAW.

Cat in the Hat 50th Anniversary

On March 3, we went to Borders Book Store where mom works for story time. It was a special story time because of the 50th anniversary of the "Cat in the Hat" book written by Dr. Seusse. We had cookies, coloring sheets, and a story read to us. We had a really great time.

Toddy Graduates to Pre-School

Today Toddy started in his new room at daycare. Since he has been potty trained and has turned three, he is able to move up to the next room with all of his friends. He likes Miss Lisa already because before he left, he needed to give her hugs. (he misses Miss Lauren and Miss Allison already because he needs to see them also before he leaves for the day.)

Toddy's Thomas the Tank Birthday Party

On Saturday, we had Toddy's "Thomas the Tank Birthday Party" at Mammy and Pappy Big Truck's house. We all had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone that came that day and made that day very special for Toddy.
We decorated everything in Blue and red and had plenty of food for everyone. The cake we picked up was especially well done... Toddy' loved it.

Toddy got a lot of presents from everyone and he got to play with Tyler and Brennden all afternoon. All of the boys were worn out by the end of the day.

George Straight Concert

What a busy week...

Tonight Todd and I went to the George Straight concert at Hershey's Giant Center. He had gotten me the tickets for Christmas. Todd's mom and dad came down to watch Toddy for us while we were out. We had a really great time while we were there. I was a little disappointed that I did not take my camera with me because I thought they would be prohibited, but I was wrong. Anyway, we enjoyed a lot of songs that night. He was on stage for over 2 hours!
Some of the songs that he sang:
"Amarillo By Morning"
"The Chair"
"Baby's Gotten Good At Goodbye"
"If I Know Me"
"Heartland"
"The Man in Love With You"
"Check Yes Or No"
"Carrying Your Love With Me"
"Write This Down"
"Don't Make Me Come Over There And Love You"
"She'll Leave You With A Smile"

Toddy's 3rd Birthday!

Toddy had a very busy day for his birthday. During the day it was business as usual, but we took in cupcakes to daycare so that he could celebrate his birthday at snack time with his friends at school. Toddy helped make the cupcakes so he was proud to to take them in to school.
After school we picked up Toddy and headed over to Toys R Us to go shopping. The night before he received his birthday card from Geoffrey the Giraffe and he was excited to go shopping. He was given a balloon and a crown to wear. While we were there there was a birthday girl there also who was the same age and had a birthday the very next day.

When we were done looking around we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese. We had invited some of Toddy's friends to join us for pizza, games, and fun. His best buddy Noah, Zack and Natalie came to join the fun.
They got to eat pizza, play video games, (Toddy's favorite was the snowmobile video game) dance with Chuck E., and open presents. Everyone seemed to have a really good time.

Sesame Street Live - Super Grover

We went to see Super Grover in action at the Hershey Giant Center. Toddy loved watching Elmo's Coloring Book last year, so we decided to take him again to see this year's show. Toddy loved it. He even sang and danced at our seats.

The story:
Super Grover loses his superness, and Sesame Street needed a hero! The Fabulous Five, a new team of Sesame heroes, worked to put the "super" back in Super Grover. Elmo, Rosita, Zoe and Rocko, and Telly took on the tasks of being superheros until Super Grover got his superness back. They helped Old MacDondald find his lunch and Big Bird by showing him the benefits of taking a nap so that he could find Ernie (Journey to Ernie). They showed cookie the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables in stead of cookies. They learned how to exercise with the number of the day. They cleaned up Elmos World when Oscar took over and changed it to a very messy Oscar's World.

In the end the friends knew how to help Super Grover and he flew through the skies again!
